As the Seattle Seahawks come into their 2009 Seahawks Schedule, they are searching for many answers to why things went so awry in 2008. With what was supposed to be a Super Bowl caliber team, Mike Holmgren entered his final season as the Seahawks head coach, looking to cash in on a championship. Now Holmgren is gone, and Matt Hasselbeck is back, after missing most of 2008 with a bad back. Hasselbeck will need to be firing on all cylinders, as the Seahawks go into division that features the defending NFC Champion Arizona Cardinals, St. Louis Rams, and San Francisco 49ers. Outside of the Cardinals, the NFC West kind of sets up to be one of the weaker divisions in the NFL.

To begin the Seattle Seahawks 2009 Schedule, they will play all 4 preseason football games against the AFC West. In week 1, they will visit San Diego to visit the Chargers. Week two sees the Denver Broncos come up to Seattle, to meet he Seahawks at Qwest Field. When week 3 rolls around, and starters play the first half, the Seahawks will be facing the Kansas City Chiefs, in Kansas City, Missouri. To round out the preseason, a visit from the Oakland Raiders will signify the end of the 2009 NFL Preseason.

When the regular season campaign kicks off for the 2009 Seahawks Schedule it will be on Sunday September 13th, 2009 with division rival St. Louis traveling to Seattle, to take on the Seahawks in Week 1 of the 2009 NFL Season. The next week, Seattle has another divisional game with a match up against the San Francisco 49ers, in San Francisco, which should be an easy test before the Seahawks face the visiting Chicago Bears in the fourth week. Then, if they haven't had enough, the Seattle defense will be in for a huge test as Peyton Manning and company will be trying to run wild in the Colt's new dome. Week 6, for the Seattle Seahawks, means a visit from the NFC Champion Arizona Cardinals. This is going to be a huge test for Seattle if they want a shot at winning the division. After a Week 7 Bye, the Seahawks return fresh, in Week 8, to meet up with the Dallas Cowboys, in Dallas, Texas. When week 10 rolls around, so do the Arizona Cardinals, once again, only this time, the Seahawks will be the ones on the road, travelling to the desert to face the Cardinals. Following Week 10, the Seahawks will have to prepare for a match, on the road, against the Minnesota Vikings and Adrian Peterson, in week 11. Following the Vikings game, Seattle has two more divisional games, back to back, with a November 29th match up in St Louis, versus the Rams, and a visit from the 49ers, is due in Week 13. To wrap up the regular season, the final game will be against the Tennessee Titans. The Titans will be travelling to Seattle for the game, and it is a terrific spot for Seattle to steal a win.

Week 3 - Chicago @ Seattle - September 27th, 2009 - Week 3 is where the schedule gets tough for the Seahawks as they host the Chicago Bears. This one is up for grabs, as long as the Seahawks can have limited success against the vaunted Chicago Defense.

Week 4 - Seattle @ Indianapolis - October 4rd, 2009 - Week 4 doesn't get any easier for the Seahawks, when they travel to take on Peyton Manning and the high flying Colts. Matchups don't look good for Seattle, as they will probably drop this game.

Week 5 - Jacksonville @ Seattle - October 11th, 2009 - The Seahawks host the Jaguars in what could be an easy win for Seattle, providing that Jacksonville has not been able to improve from 2008.

Week 6 - Arizona @ Seattle - October 18th, 2009 - Another tough game for the Seahawks, as the defending NFC Champions visit Seattle. The Seahawks will need to be crisp and efficient, to come out on top against Arizona.

Week 8 - Seattle @ Dallas - November 1st, 2009 - Going on the road, to face Dallas, is never an easy task for the Seahawks. If the 'Hawks are going to win, they will have to minimize turnovers and provide Hasselbeck with protection.

Week 9 - Detroit @ Seattle - November 8th, 2009 - At this point in the season, the Detroit Lions could be winless....again. The Seahawks definitely don't want to be the team to lose to Detroit, as this should be a very attainable win.
