2010 Chicago Bears Schedule

The Chicago Bears 2009 campaign could be best described as a colossal disappointment, something that must change if the 2010 Chicago Bears Schedule is to be successful. After expectations soared following the acquisition of quarterback Jay Cutler from the Denver Broncos prior to the season for Kyle Orton, Bears' fans were sorely disapointed and will accept nothing less than a winning franchise in a competitive NFC North.

Chicago was poised to make a deep run to Super Bowl XLIV, but events failed to transpire, beginning with linebacker Brian Urlacher and and his season-ending injury prior to opening weekend. That left a huge hole to fill on the defensive side of the ball, while on offense, Cutler and the Bears failed to develop a chemistry.

The combination left the Bears sitting at 7-9 on the season, missing the playoffs for the fourth consecutive year since their Super Bowl Run against the Indianapolis Colts in Miami.

Entering 2010, expectations for the Bears continue to be high, with Cutler now having a year under his belt in Lovie Smith's offense and Urchlacher coming back to lead the defense.

It will be a difficult road for the Bears however, as Minnesota and Green Bay both made the playoffs last year, and the 2010 Chicago Bears Season Schedule could be an aggressive battle for a post-season berth in the NFC North.

Chicago Bears 2010 Regular Season Schedule Sunday, September 12th, 2010 @ 1:00pm (FOX) - Chicago Bears vs. Detroit Lions

The Bears will look to get their 2010 campaign off on the right foot as they face the Detroit Lions in the opener of the 2010 Chicago Bears Team Schedule. This in division game will give one team a leg up at least going into week 2 of the season.

Sunday, September 19th, 2010 @ 1:00pm (FOX) - Chicago Bears at Dallas Cowboys

Week 2 will see the Bears travel down to Big D to take on the Cowboys in the Jerry-dome. This game has the potential to be a hard hitting matchup and one that could have playoff implications come season's end.

Monday, September 27th, 2010 @ 8:30pm (ESPN) - Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers

The Bears will be hosting NFC North rival Green Bay Packers in week 3 of the young NFL season. This will be Chicago's first chance to avenge two regular season losses that came at the hands of the Packers and QB Aaron Rodgers.

Sunday, October 3rd, 2010 @ 8:20pm (NBC) - Chicago Bears at New York Giants

In the third of a trio of tough games in the first four weeks, the Bears will travel to New Jersey to face Eli Manning and the New York Giants. This will be Chicago's first trip to the New Meadowlands Stadium, and first game against the Giants since a loss back in 2007.

Sunday, October 10th, 2010 @ 1:00pm (FOX) - Chicago Bears at Carolina Panthers

Week 5 could be a trap game for the Bears as they go on the road to visit the Carolina Panthers. By this time in the season, there is a potential for rookie QB Jimmy Clausen to be starting, however it could also be Matt Moore. Either way, the Bears' defense will need to show up to contain Carolina's vaunted rushing attack.

Sunday, October 17th, 2010 @ 1:00pm (FOX) - Chicago Bears vs. Seattle Seahawks

The Bears will return to Soldier Field in week 6 to face the visiting Seattle Seahawks and new head coach Pete Carroll. This will be a game that the Bears must win if they hope to be in playoff contention at the end of the 2010 NFL season. Chicago won this game on the road in 2009, 25 - 19.

Sunday, October 24th, 2010 @ 1:00pm (FOX) - Chicago Bears vs. Washington Redskins

Chicago will defend their home field for the second week in a row when the Redskins come into the Windy City. Like the week before, this game against the Redskins is a must win should Chicago hope to be in the thick of things at the end of 2010. Chicago did not play Washington in 2009.

Sunday, October 31st, 2010 - BYE

Sunday, November 7th, 2010 @ 1:00pm (FOX) - Chicago Bears at Buffalo Bills

Coming off their bye week, the Bears will play their first game against an opponent from the AFC. Chicago should win this game comfortably, but one can never be sure at this point in the season. If the Bills play the same way in 2010 as they did in 2009, put a W in the win column for the Bears.

Sunday, November 14th, 2010 @ 1:00pm (FOX) - Chicago Bears vs. Minnesota Vikings

This is a game that the Bears can definitely circle on the calendar. If Minnesota returns with Brett Favre, this game has the potential to be a long game for the Bears' defense. This NFC North division game has real potential and will be a featured game. The Bears and Vikings split their 2009 games, with the home team winning each game.

Thursday, November 18th, 2010 @ 8:20pm (NFLN) - Chicago Bears at Miami Dolphins

Going to Miami after a short week and a game against the Vikings is going to be a tough test for the Chicago Bears. This Miami game has the strong potential to be a let down, especially if the Bears win against Minnesota the week before.

Sunday, November 28th, 2010 @ 1:00pm (FOX) - Chicago Bears vs. Philadelphia Eagles

For the second year in a row, the Chicago Bears will host the Philadelphia Eagles. If all goes according to plan, the Chicago Bears will have avenged their 24 to 20 loss from the 2009 season. Without Donovan McNabb directing the Eagles, that outcome could be a real possibility.

Sunday, December 5th, 2010 @ 1:00pm (FOX) - Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions

As the calendar shifts to December, the Bears should get a gift of a game against in division rival Detroit Lions. These two teams also meet in week one, and if all goes according to plan, the Bears will emerge victorious and looking forward to a run at the NFL playoffs.

Sunday, December 12th, 2010 @ 1:00pm (CBS) - Chicago Bears vs. New England Patriots

Unlike the week before, the Chicago Bears will face a proven, battle tested squad in the New England Patriots. If the 2007 Patriots show up, it could be trouble, however if it is the version that resembles 2009, the Bears will have a real shot in this game.

Monday, December 20th, 2010 @ 8:20pm (ESPN) - Chicago Bears at Minnesota Vikings

This Monday Night Football game on the 2010 Chicago Bears Weekly Schedule could determine whether the entire season was a success for the Bears. Undoubtedly, the Bears will want to take this game from a division rival which may help boost them into the playoffs, or further up into a better seed.

Sunday, December 26th, 2010 @ 1:00pm (CBS) - Chicago Bears vs. New York Jets

If nothing less, this game in Week 16 of the NFL season will be a hard fought affair. Both teams sport good defensive units which means hard hitting football. The Bears will likely need to control the ground game as Darelle Revis and company will likely have the skies on lock down.

Sunday, January 2nd, 2010 @ 1:00pm (FOX) - Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers

Bottom line, this game will be nasty. From a weather perspective, January, Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wisconsin, what else needs to be said? From a playing stand point, two hated division rivals will square off and chances are that only one will have a look at the 2010 NFL playoffs in what could be a make or break scenario as this will be the last game of the 2010 Schedule for the Chicago Bears.
