2010 St. Louis Rams Schedule

st louis ramsThe St. Louis Rams had the worst record of all teams during the 2009 season and will look to rebound in the 2010 St. Louis Rams Schedule. Fresh off of an off-season in which they had the top overall selection in the draft, the Ram will look to challenge their 2010 NFL Schedule.

St. Louis decided to go for a major overhaul with their first selection, choosing quarterback Sam Bradford at No.1. While it is unclear whether or not Bradford will see playing time this season on the field, what is clear is the fact that the organization wants to move into a new direction, away from losing.

Unfortunately when a team goes 1-15 in the year previous, it is often not just one position that needs to be filled. While the quarterback position was a good place to start, the Rams will need to address more than that if they have hopes of improving in 2010.

St. Louis was completely inept on the offensive side of the ball last season, averaging a mere 11 points per game, while surrendering 27. The team moved the ball just 259 yards per game, while giving up over 330. They struggled through the air and on the ground and defensively had difficulty stopping anyone. But, that was last year and the team is entirely focused on the task at hand in 2010.

The 2010 St. Louis Rams NFL Schedule will present some challenges for the team, as they did not win a division game in all of 2009 out of the NFC West. The division was won by Arizona, with San Fransisco finishing closely behind.

Sunday, September 19, 2010 @ 4:05pm (Fox) - St. Louis Rams at Oakland Raiders

The Rams take a trip out west in a showdown with the Raiders, as both teams struggled last season and Week 2 could prove to be critical for the course of 2010.

Sunday, October 3, 2010 @ 1:00pm (Fox) - St. Louis Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks

The Rams lost both games to the Seahawks in 2009, and will be out looking to get a win at home in the dome. St. Louis scored only 17 points total in the team's two match ups last year.

Sunday, October 10, 2010 @ 1:00pm (Fox) - St. Louis Rams at Detroit Lions

The Rams' only win in 2009 came against Detroit, so the Rams should come into this one with confidence against a Lion team that won two games last year.

St. Louis hosts San Diego in this Week 6 match up that could produce fireworks behind Phillip Rivers and the rest of the Charger offense.

Sunday, October 24, 2010 @ 1:00pm (Fox) - St. Louis Rams at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Sunday, October 31, 2010 @ 1:00pm (Fox) - St. Louis Rams vs. Carolina Panthers

Carolina and St. Louis have not played each other since the 2007 season so this will be a battle between teams that are relatively unfamiliar with each other as the Rams look to get one on the NFC South.

Sunday, November 7, 2010 - Bye

Sunday, November 14, 2010 @ 4:15pm (Fox) - St. Louis Rams at San Fransisco 49ers

St. Louis lost both match ups to San Fransisco last season and in their first match up in 2010 will be looking for some pay back. A team doesn't forget their division games and not winning one last year may give the Rams the motivation the team needs.

Sunday, November 21, 2010 @ 4:05pm (Fox) - St. Louis Rams vs. Atlanta Falcons

This is the second match up against the NFC South for the Rams in three weeks, as the Falcons come to town and quarterback Matt Ryan will be looking to throw all over the vulnerable Rams defense that was in 2009 if they cannot correct it in 2010.

A game between the NFC West and the AFC West could be important for the confidence of both teams during the final weeks of the regular season.

Sunday, December 5, 2010 @ 4:15pm (Fox) - St. Louis Rams At. Arizona Cardinals

This division match up in the beginning of December marks the start of the home-stretch in the regular season, with a NFC West game being potentially critical for both teams, as the Cardinal won the division a year ago.

Sunday, December 12, 2010 @ 4:05pm (Fox) - St. Louis Rams at New Orleans Saints

The Rams tackle the defending Super Bowl Champions as Drew Brees hosts the one-win Rams team from 2009. The Rams had a tough time stopping the pass, and that is the Saint's forte on offense. It could prove to be a difficult match up for the Rams

Sunday, December 19, 2010 @ 1:00pm (CBS) - St. Louis Rams vs. Kansas City Chiefs

A battle for state bragging rights takes place in Week 15 of the 2010 NFL Season as Kansas City travels to St. Louis with the winner getting to best of their Missouri counterpart for at least a year.

Sunday, December 26, 2010 @ 1:00pm (Fox) - St. Louis Rams vs. San Fransisco 49ers

The Rams' final two weeks of the year are two important division match ups, beginning with the 49ers in Week 16. Both will be looking to end their season positively, with the potential for division implications.

Sunday, January 2, 2010 @ 4:15pm (Fox) - St. Louis Rams At. Seattle Seahawks

Seattle and St. Louis finished third and fourth respectively in the division and both want to improve upon that standing. A win in the final week of the regular season may be exactly what the doctor ordered for that to happen.
