2010 NFL Week 8 Matchups | 2010 NFL Weekly Matchups

The 2009 NFL season week 8 previews open on the 1st day of November and, is home to three of the best NFC match ups all year.  The Philadelphia Eagles play host to rival New York Giants, the Arizona Cardinals get a home game against the Carolina Panthers and, the New Orleans Saints have a home game against the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night.  Week 8 brings an end to the first half of the 2009 NFL season. The question is, what team will end there playoff hopes in the 2009 NFL season week 8. 

Last years big news in week 8 was the Titans win over the Indianapolis Colts.  The Titans proved to be a force last year after there week 8 win over the Colts, posting a record of 13-3 and winning the AFC South.  The Titans and Colts entered the 4th quarter of that game with a 14 to 14 tie.  The Titans continued on scoring 17 point in the 4th quarter with a touchdown run by LenDale White and Chris Johnson to win the game 31 to 21.  The Colts and the Titans both get a home game in week 8, and both look to try and win the AFC South in 2009.

This game shapes up to be a closely played contest and should go down right to the wire. This will be a relatively low scoring contest with not many big plays in the passing game. Adrian Peterson will rush for 100 yards and a solid performance from the Vikings defense will be enough for Minnesota to pick up the win. Of course, this game marks the homecoming of one Brett Lorenzo Favre to Lambeau Field and to the fans that loved Favre for all those years. This game should be wild.
