green bay packers 2009 team reportIn our 2009 Green Bay Packers Team Report you will see that the Green Bay Packers played bad last season, their first season in 16 years with out Brett Favre under center. Aaron Rodgers managed to record only 6 victories in his first season as an NFL starting quarterback, but on paper Aaron Rogers had a solid year, passing for 4,038 yards, 28 touchdowns, and finished the season with a 93.8 passer rating. The Packers are looking to return as the number one team in the NFC North, and make it to the playoffs in the 2009 NFL Season. The biggest surprise besides the play of Aaron Rogers, was the discovery of running back Ryan Grant, who recorded 1,203 yards on the season and carried the football 312 times. Head coach Mike McCarthy, will need to find ways to implement Ryan Grant in the passing game more, if the offense wants to get better in 2009. The defense did not play up to it's normal standards in 2008 either. The Packers won 13 games in 2007, and most of that was because of the solid defense of play that year. To return to a winning record the packers will be forced to play a more physical style of defense. To find out more information on this year Packers, visit our 2009 Green Bay Packers team report.
