Roddy White and John Abraham Among Falcons Hurting Going Into Week 9

falconsAfter coming off a loss Monday night to the New Orleans Saints, the Atlanta Falcons are trying to get healthy again. Right now, the Falcons are hurting with some of their biggest names being on the Week 9 Injury Report.

Among those on the report are Atlanta Falcons' stud receiver Roddy White who is nursing a knee injury. The injury has caused White to be listed as questionable after missing practice on Wednesday and Thursday. White did participate in practice on Friday however he was limited. So far, White has hauled in 37 passes for 543 yards and 6 touchdowns. According to ProFootballTalk.com, White is expected to play on Sunday.

Another Falcons' star on the Atlanta Faclons Injury Report is DE John Abraham. Also listed as questionable, Abraham is hurting from a sore foot but did participate in practice on Thursday and Friday. The Falcons' rely on Abraham to pressure the opposing QB which he has done to the tune of 3 sacks in 7 games this year.

Also listed as questionable are DT Johnathan Babineaux (ankle), WR Brian Finneran (ankle), and RB Jerious Norwood (hip) among others.

Despite having many question marks, the Falcons are still heavily favored in the NFL Week 9 Betting Odds. At BookMaker, the Falcons are still favored at 8 1/2 points though the game line started at 10. Other online sportsbooks have the Falcons favored anywhere between 8 1/2 to 10 points.

The Falcons' inactives should be listed an hour before the 1pm kickoff on Sunday.
