falconsAtlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan and wide receiver Roddy White were hitting on all cylinders Sunday afternoon as the Falcons defeated the San Fransisco 49ers 45-10. White had a career day. He set a career and franchise record with 210 receiving yards on the day, with 185 yards coming in the first half. The loss ended 49ers' quarterback Shaun Hill's perfect 7-0 record at home as their starter. San Fransisco could not overcome their 3 turnovers after only surrendering 2 during their first four games. Hill was also sacked three times and only connected on 4 of his first 15 passes.

Atlanta running back Michael Turner got the Falcons on the board first on a 7 yard run in the first quarter. Ryan, who finished with 329 yards passing and 2 touchdowns, would then find White for his first of two touchdown receptions from 39 yards out to give the Falcons a 14-0 lead. The 49ers would respond with their only touchdown of the day on a 2 yard run by Glen Coffee. San Fransisco would add a field goal on their next drive, the last time they would light up the scoreboard for the day.

With 6:59 left in the half, Ryan would find White for his second touchdown on a 90 yard touchdown pass. Turner would add 2 more rushing touchdowns, one from 3 yards out and the other from 1 yard out. The second touchdown by Turner was set up by a fumble on the kickoff after White's second touchdown. Turnovers proved to be costly and the 49er fans let them know how they felt. "I felt like I haven't been playing well up to this point in the season," White said. "Me and coach Smith had a talk. He was like, 'You gotta get back to being yourself again. You gotta go out there and be the old Roddy. No pressure. Just go out there and play.'"

San Fransisco has their bye week next and Atlanta will host the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
