Favre May Possibly Make Return Announcement on Friday

One of the most celebrated NFL Quarterbacks, Brett Favre, may make his announcement on whether or not he will return to the NFL, by Friday. This news comes from sources close to Favre. Should Favre make his announcement on Friday, it would come well ahead of his self imposed deadline of July 30th.

Favre has been debating the decision, on whether he should come back for one more season with the Minnesota Vikings. Questions about Favre's health, drive, and family, have come into play for Brett as he has kept the Vikings in limbo. It has been speculated that Favre wishes to return after having off-season surgery to repair a bicep, which would lead those to believe that Favre wants to return.

The common sentiment amongst the media and fans is that they're tired of it all. They want Favre to decide, and go with it. This saga has gone on too long, and has been too common for the veteran gunslinger. For years, fans and media stood by as Favre waffled over leaving Green Bay for retirement, until the franchise grew old of his act, and relayed to him that they no longer wished to have Favre with the organization. Favre reported to camp anyway, and was eventually traded to the New York Jets for the 2008 Season, after originally wanting a trade to the Vikings.

After the 2008 season, Favre retired, once again, with his arm injury, which prompted the New York Jets to release him, leaving Favre with this opportunity to join the Minnesota Vikings. It would appear as though Brett Favre has finally found a way to get to the Vikings, provided that he still wants to play the game.

Adding Favre to the Minnesota Vikings roster would mean that Sage Rosenfels, as well as Tavaris Jackson would be competing for the number 2 spot. Without Favre, it will be these two competing for the starting job... a much different scenario.

Now the fans and media look forward to Friday, just to see if there is a possibility of Brett Favre returning. Favre will need to make a decision soon, as NFL minicamps are slated to begin starting in late July.
