cambyMarcus Camby may not be happy about it, but he's heading to Portland regardless.

Yahoo! Sports NBA reporter Adrian Wojnarowski confirmed that the 35-year old big man is officially on his way to the Trail Blazers in a three-player trade on Tuesday that immediately boosts Portlands NBA Betting Odds in NBA Sportsbooks. It gets the front court help it needs and will send the Los Angeles Clippers Travis Outlaw, Steve Blake and $3 million in cash.

All three players in the deal will be free agents at the end of the year. As SBNation's Mike Prada points out, getting cash for Camby doesn't help Los Angeles' frugal reputation.

"The latter part (cash) is being held up as the reason for the Clippers making the deal, which has drawn the 'cheap Clippers' meme out again," Prada said. "It certainly looks bad from their end, because Blake and Outlaw are both expiring contracts like Camby."

The Blazers have been looking for a center for most of the trade deadline period with the season-long injury to Greg Oden, and were initially targeting Washington's Brendan Haywood. But after Dallas pulled off the deal to acquire him in a seven-player swap, Portland began looking elsewhere.

Camby wasn't necessarily thrilled about the deal, and reportedly left a team dinner in disgust after hearing about it.

“He likes the Clippers, he likes the organization, he likes L.A.,” a source told Yahoo! Sports. “His wife is happy in L.A. And he’s not one for change. He’s definitely not happy about this.”

Camby is averaging 7.7 points and 12.1 rebounds on the year. He is a career 47-percent shooter averaging over 10 points and 10 boards in 14 seasons.
