Coach Krzyzewski Coming Back For More Gold With USA Basketball

The USA basketball team got some good news late last night with the Boston Globe reporting that Coach Mike Krzyzewski will being returning to Coach USA Basketball, through the 2010 World Championships and into the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.Mike Krzyzewski has been the Head Coach of the USA Basketball team since 2005 and has really helped team turn around it's attitude which led to better results. Coach Krzyzewski has got the NBA Players needed to be very competitive against any team in the World, and proved it in the 2008 Summer Olympics, taking the Gold. With his wisdom of the game, and experience, Coach Krzyzewski is more than capable of being able to get USA Basketball ready for the 2010 World Championships and the 2012 Summer Olympics.

In 2006, after coaching the team in the World Championships, to a less than expected bronze medal, he knew things had to change. Coack K had a good nucleus of players, but had to tweek the team slightly. He brought in the players he though would make the difference, and with a team oriented attitude, they found success in 2008. The group really meshed well and Coach Krzyzewski had a lot to do with that, he made them work hard on the court and they also were having fun and it showed.

Mike Krzyzewski decided to make this announcement just before their July 22 mini-camp in Las Vegas, Nevada. With Coach Krzyzewski leading this team which is practically the same team he had from the 2008 team which won the gold. From 2006 to 2008 Coach Krzyzewski lead the team to a 36-1 record which is showing that Coach Krzyzewski is getting through to this team. The next big event for the team will be the 2010 World Championships, in Turkey. The World had better watch out, Coach Krzyzewski is looking for revenge for his 0-2 record in the Gold Medal games, in the World Championships.
