Letterman Preparing For Damage Control

One of our favorite late night talk show hosts, David Letterman, has found himself in the middle of a sex scandal, that continues to be the topic of conversation for many gossip columns, newspapers, and talk shows. Letterman admitted to having sexual relations with one of his staff members over the course of time he has been with the network. This information was made public after Letterman became victim of of man trying to extort Letterman for approximately $2 million. The blackmail game was short lived when Letterman involved the authorities and a sting operation was set up to bring charges against the guilty party, and it did in fact lead to an arrest.

Letterman than came forward making a statement on one of the tapping's of his show, where he admitted inappropriate behavior with a co worker and apologized for all that had been hurt by the situation. Most of Letterman's attention was focused on his new wife and 5 year old son.

"She has been horribly hurt by my behavior, and when something happens like that, if you hurt a person and it's your responsibility, you try to fix it," Letterman said to his audience, according to Worldwide Pants. Letterman will be desperately trying to repair the damage he cause to wife Regina, who were only recently married after 20 years of dating.

Although Letterman did the right thing by being upfront and admitting to his wrongful doings, he has a lot of damage control to work on, not only with his family, but with a staff that has been very dedicated to him and the network. Time will tell if the public will forgive and forget,but in the mean time his rating have rocketed. Will they continue to increase as we watch the details of his personal life be drug into the headlines.
