Topeka, Wichita Kansas Sees Destruction of Illegal Gambling Machines

According to the Associated Press, a large slew of gambling machines had been confiscated and destroyed pursuant to Kansas law. Over the past week, demolition crews took to the destruction of several machines from both Wichita and Topeka, Kansas.

The businesses, including convenience stores, restaurants, and other organizations, had forfeited the machines to authorities upon the discovery that these machines were less than legal. A supplier from Johnson County had distributed the machines.

The machines had been designed with very slim chances of winning, and were designed almost, but not entirely, unlike slot games. It was reported that in one of the games, the player would attempt to use a coin to knock down other coins already in the machine, ultimately to be collected by the player.

Though Kansas has been increasing available gambling options, particularly through the use of Casinos, this sort of gambling machine has remained illegal since 2008, at which time gambling laws were expanded. There are five casinos within Kansas, scattered throughout the state for easy access. Table games and slot games are available, as are race tracks. The Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission prohibits this form of game for the protection of residents and tourists alike, particularly when the games carry a low chance of winning such as those that had met destruction.

An alternative to these illegal games and distant casinos lies within that of the best Kansas online casinos.
