Money Talks or Paula Walks

As we go into season 9 of one of the most watched reality shows on television, American Idol, questions are being raised as to if we will see Paula sitting as one of the judges, as she has done from the very start of the show. American Idol has grown into quite a little empire of its own and has made some contestants dreams into a reality. Thousands and thousands of people wait for countless hours for their shot to be in front of the judges for just a brief moment. Sometimes all the waiting pays off and other times it become a big reality check for those who have no possible future in the entertainment business. During each season, we watch Paula be the voice of reason among the other judges who tend to be a little less sensitive to contestants feelings. Her personal experience in the entertainment business has made her opinion one to be heard and more importantly one to respected.

Paula also brings her own flavor to the panel of judges. She is kind but true to the contestants and has absolutely no problem standing up to the other judges. Paula has been a face that is just associated with American Idol and her leaving would certainly change the presence of the entire show. Week after week, millions of views tune in to see the never ending drama between her and fellow judge Simon Cowell. Whether it is flirting or pure hatred toward each other, we just cant seem to get enough of those two. Contestants receive a lot of professional guidance from Paula and not having her there would definitely be a disappointment for contestants. 

Paula feels that she contributes a lot to the success of the show and feels that she is not compensated nearly enough in her salary. Negotiations of her contract have been underway for some time and whether or not she will be returning for another season has been kept under lock and key.
