The seventh event in the 2009 WSOP is the $1,500 No Limit Hold ‘Em. Last year, this event attracted over 2718 entrants with a total prizepool of more than $3.7 million dollars. This form of game is an action packed variant of poker. The World Series of Poker Event 7 No Limit Hold 'Em No Limit Hold ‘Em or NHEM is one of the most popular games in the WSOP circuit and is expected to attract a considerable number of participants this year too.

Event 7 of the 2009 World Series of Poker is a ‘no limit’ game, meaning players can wager to any extent irrespective of the minimum bet, subject to the number of the chips they have on the table in front of him, a play commonly referred to as ‘going all in’. Players will begin with over $3,000 in tournament chips. The event has been designed to be played over three days and in a format spread across 34 levels. Players can start placing a small blind of $25 and the player to his left can place a bigger blind of $50. Ante bets of $25 can be placed from the fifth level onwards. As per the event format, the ante bets go up progressively by $25 from the seventh level onwards. From levels 9-11 the ante bets are $100 and as the game pans out, the bets also go up.

Day 1 - Start of Tournament
Event 7 begins tonight, another No-Limit Hold'Em tournament. Information is not yet available, but with the $1,500 dollar buy-in, the number of entrants should be high. No Limit Hold 'Em is WSOP favorite and we know that the action will be intense. We will be sure to keep you updated as the information becomes available.

Day 1 Recap
Event 7's Day 1 has finished up, and wow was it eventful. Almost 2,600 players were eliminated with much haste. With 338 players remaining, the line into money is not that long. 297 players are getting paid in this No-Limit Hold'Em tournament, so after a few knock outs, players will be guaranteed cash. Current leader is Victor Greely at 195,300 chips. Behind him is Jerry Fowler at 183,200, and Gary Tang at 145,300.

Day 2 Recap
Day 2 of the seventh event, a Texas Hold'Em tournament, came to a close with 59 remaining players. The top three chip holders are Steve Karp, Jacob Kalb, and Craig McConville. Karp and McConville began the day with significantly lower chip counts than they ended with, highlighting their powerful performances in the game. Over 2,700 entrants took part, most of which were eliminated on the first day. The prize pool is over $3.8 million, leaving a large reward for the winner - not to mention the bracelet.

2009 World Series of Poker Event 7 Recap
Travis Johnson took the Bracelet from Event 7, winning not only his first bracelet but also $666,853. He obliterated the opposition in the tournament of over 2,700 players. Steve Karp took second, walking away with $414,116. The showdown between the two was long and arduous, bringing much frustration to Karp. Mike Ciotola was knocked out in third place, winning a not so small sum of $273,385 dollars. Considering the Buy-in was $1,500, these winnings are nothing to be scoffed at.
