The 40th Annual World Series of Poker 2009 features Event 48 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi Low Split 8 or Better tournament. This tournament will have a buy-in of $1500, which is on the lower side and should attract many professional players. The event has been fairly popular through the years, with over 700 players participating last year. The winner of the 2008 version of the tournament was Martin Klaeser and he went home with over two hundred thousand dollars. With no rebuys and add-ons, this tournament admits players only over the age of 21. The 48th Event at the WSOP this year is bound to attract a lot of attention both from players and the audience.

Briefly, the 40th Annual 2009 WSOP Pot-Limit Omaha Hi Low Split-8 or Better Event 48 will start on the 25th of June at 12 pm. The event has a low buy-in of $1,500 and will definitely prove to be very popular. All players begin with $1,500 in Tournament Chips, and they may receive additional chips anytime during the first three levels. The game takes place in 30 levels and each level lasts for 60 minutes with a 20 minute break after every second level. The final table will take place at 2 pm on the 27th of June.
