The 2009 WSOP World Championship Heads Up No-Limit Hold'em Event 29 is a 3 day event with a $10,000 buy-in. World Championship refers to tournaments with a buy-in of $10,000 in each of the various disciplines of poker. This and nine other $10,000 buy-in tournaments, along with the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E and a $40,000 No-Limit Hold’em make this year’s World Series, the biggest one to date. There are 10 World Championship $10,000 this year, up from 8 last year and this is only the third time that this event has been added to the World Series of Poker calendar. With a hugely attractive prize pool, this heads-up event promises a sizeable pot for the winner, not to mention the chance to pick up a WSOP winner’s bracelet. It will be truly entertaining to watch the one-on-one battles between the various personalities of the game.

Event 29 in 2009 World Series of Poker is a Heads Up No Limit Hold 'Em tournament. Day 1 will witness matches beginning 5 PM and 10 PM. There will be breaks between the matches. Play will resume on Day 2 at 2 PM. Match times for the subsequent matches will be decided on Day 2. Play will resumes on Day 3 at 2 PM and continues until a winner is declared. A total of 6% of the total entry pool will be held back for entry fees and tournament staff.
