2009 WSOP Event 27 - $5,000 Pot Limit Omaha Hi Lo Split

USA Poker WSOP 2009 WSOP 2009 WSOP Event 27 $5000 Pot Limit Omaha Hi-Low Split-8

The 27th event in the 2009 WSOP set of tournaments is the Pot Limit Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better tourney. The Omaha High-Low Split game was first introduced in the WSOP in the year, 1990. This event is also called Omaha 8 or better because the low hand must qualify with a rank of eight or lower. There are totally three Omaha High-Low Split events in the 2009 WSOP Schedule.

In the high-low split each player must make a separate five-card high hand and a ace-five five card low hand and the pot is split between the high and the low, which can even be the same player. The initial buy-in for the 27th event in the 2009 WSOP is $5,000. Players start the event with $10,000 in tournament chips. All levels last for 60 minutes with breaks every two levels for 20 minutes. 6.3% of the total entry pool will be retained for entry fees and 2.7% for tournament staff. Level 1 of the event starts with a minimum small blind of $50 with a call or amount to be put in to the pot to continue playing of $100 and $200 to $350 bet to ‘make it’. F
