The 2009 WSOP Event #24 is the Annual No-Limit Hold ‘Em tournament that has been scheduled to be held over three days. The buy-in for this much awaited event has been set at $1,500. The No-Limit Hold ‘Em variant of poker is arguably one of the most popular types among poker enthusiasts today. It is an extremely exciting and high-action form of poker with a non-stop array of betting and bluffing. Players get a change of pace from the regular games of poker and are faced with the opportunity to make a large fortune if luck favours them.

This is a no-limit event allowing players to bet any amount over the minimum limit which is subject to the number of chips that the player has on the table. This tournament has been structured in such a way, that ante bets start from $25 with a corresponding blind of $100-$200. Players will begin with $ 4,000 in chips. All levels last about 60 minutes with 20 minute breaks between every other level and a 90 minute dinner break after Level 6. 6.3% of the total entry pool is planned to be withheld as entry fees and 2.7% withheld for the 2009 WSOP event #24 no limit hold em tournament staff.

Newcomer Glenn McCaffrey is leading the board of event 24's No-Limit Hold'em tournament. He stands at 187,000 chips, with Darryll Fish right behind him. Marcus Meyer and Dean Hamrick are close runners for third and fourth. Hundreds of entrants still remain, so this tournament should be a long and ardous battle.
