The WSOP this year will host the 40th Annual WSOP 2009 H.O.R.S.E as Event 21. This dynamic, fast paced game will have a fairly low buy-in of $3,000. In the past, this event has proven to be reasonably popular among professionals and viewers alike. In 2008, there were 414 players who participated in this fun-filled tournament. The reigning champion is Jens Voertmann who went home with a whopping $298,253 in prize money. This year, Event 21 H.O.R.S.E. tournament of the World Series of Poker is set to attract quite a bit of media attention, and even players have a great time playing H.O.R.S.E. As with every other event at the World Series of Poker, this one too admits only players who are over 21.

The 40th Annual WSOP 2009 H.O.R.S.E Event 21 will have a relatively low buy-in of $3000, and will commence on the 9th of June at 5 pm. Each player will start with Tournament Chips worth $9,000. 2009 WSOP Event 21 H.O.R.S.E. tournament has 30 Events and will span 3 days. Each level will go on for 60 minutes, and after every second game there will be a break of 20 minutes, after level 4 there will be a 60 minute break. In this tournament, every eight hands there will be a change of games. The final will begin at 2 pm on the 11th of June 2009.

A H.O.R.S.E. event marks event 21. This event began on Tuesday with 452 entrants. The buy-in was $3,000, and the prize pool is Over $1 million. Rob Amereno leads the chip piles with 96,800. Frank Debus sits at 62,100 chips right behind him. Doyle Bruson is overing at barely over 32,000 chips. Many other big names are participating in these events. The lowest chip counts don't even breach the 3,000 mark. Day 2 should be full of excitement as players are continuously removed from the running.

Event 21 is running strong with 21 (imagine that) players remaining. 452 entrants took part, so the playing field is getting thin. Leaders are Zac Smith, James Van Alstyne, and Tim Finne. Their chip counts are, respectively, 471,000, 455,000, and 411,000. Eliminations will run quick when the games restart, as several players have under 50,000 chips.

As the final day began, Zac Fellows held the lead. This paid off, as he took the final victory. Over $300,000 dollars and a bracelet was this prize. Honorary mention goes to James Van Alstyne who took second place and winnings of $192,866. Tim Finne dropped in third place, walking with $126,199.
