Event 31 H.O.R.S.E. of the WSOP 2009 is the $1,500 event. This form of the game is quickly gaining popularity among veterans. As players hone their skills in the other popular games, H.O.R.S.E adds a portion of variety to the play is often precisely what many players are looking for. It has a buy-in amount of $1,500 and players begin the game with $4,500 in Tournament Chips. Event #31 is one of the eight mixed-games bracelet events this year in WSOP 2009. This event will be one of the softer mixed games in the series of WSOP tournaments. A lot of strong players are expected for this 3-day event. The event’s limit structure makes it difficult for the general public to understand and find interesting. That makes this game somewhat exclusive for the veteran poker fan.  

The 2009 World Series of Poker Event 31 H.O.R.S.E. levels are of 60 minutes’ duration and games change after eight hands. Breaks of 20 minutes’ duration will be after the end of every alternate level. The end of level 4 will signal a 60 minute break. Day 1 will be concluded after the completion of level 8. A total of 9% of the entire entry pool will be held out for entry fees and tournament staff.
