2009 WSOP Event 26 - $1,500 Limit Hold Em

USA Poker WSOP 2009 WSOP 2009 WSOP Event 15 $5000 No Limit Hold Em

Event #26 in the 2009 WSOP is one of the Limit Hold ‘Em tournaments. This event is often perceived to be an ideal tourney for a newbie to start with, especially in consideration of the relatively low buy-in. Last year, this event attracted over 883 entries with a combined prize pool of $1,205,295 in the poker pot. This tourney is very similar to event # 24, although event 26 is a limit game where players can place wagers only as per predetermined limits. These bets are roughly twice the small or big blinds respectively. For example, if the small blind is $150, a player cannot wager more than $300 and if the corresponding big blind is $300, he cannot place more than $600 on the table. This event has an initial buy-in of $1,500.

The 2009 WSOP Event #26 Limit hold em tournament is being advertised as a three day affair. All levels last for 60 minutes with 20 minute breaks after every other level as in most games at the tournament. Players begin with $4,000 in chips. This year the event will be played across 30 levels as opposed to 28 levels in the previous year.
