Full Tilt Poker Teams Up With PokerGives.org For Charity

Poker News - March 8th, 2010 - Written By Glen

full tiltFull Tilt Poker and PokerGives.org are coming together to offer a $5+$5 charity tournament. Half of the tournament's buy-in will go toward the prize pool, and half will go to charity, as applied by PokerGives.org.

A great number of charities are supported by PokerGives.org, not the least of which is the Paralyzed Veterans of America. Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, the Special Olympics, and the Step By Step Foundation are all funded by PokerGives.org, a not for profit organization founded by Mike Sexton, Linda Johnson, Jan Fisher, and Lisa Tenner.

In order to sign up to the tournament, players will have to log into their Full Tilt Poker account, and search for the tournament under the private tab. The event will take place in less than a month's time, on April 4th. Signing up to the tournament will require players enter the event's password, which is 'PokerNations.' The tournament ID can also be entered into a search, and in this case is 137275439.

Some of the prizes include Blue Shark Optics sunglasses, a year subscription to Bluff Magazine, six months coaching from Deuces Cracked, books, gift certificates, and much more, in addition to the cash.

Dozens are already signed up for the tournament, and only 1,800 players may join. With 27 days to go, players still have time to join the Online Poker tournament with a purpose, where the proceeds will be donated to PokerGives.org.
