Full Tilt Poker Launches Satellites to the Aussie Millions

Poker News - November 15th, 2009 - Written by Glen

Many USA online poker rooms have been hosting satellite and qualifier tournaments to the Aussie Millions poker tournament, and in the case of Full Tilt, the prize package is unbelievably gratuitous. In addition to the $10,500 dollar buy in for the Aussie Millions main event, an additional series of perks worth $4,000 dollars will be included.

Travel expenses, lodging, and spending money will be taken care of by the Aussie Millions 2010 Poker Championship promotion found through Full Tilt. Full Tilt will be giving those players who win an 11 night stay at Australia's lush Crown Casino, $1,200 dollars for travel and spending money, as well as other little perks to make the experience more enjoyable. Full Tilt gear, such as hats and sun glasses, Full Tilt activities, such as freeroll tournaments, and the opportunity to mingle with Team Full Tilt.

There are many satellites and qualifiers already running for players to take advantage of, including qualifiers to the main satellites, as well as the satellites themselves. For $500+$35, players can buy into the main satellites and have a chance to win the $14,500 dollar prize package every week. At least one package will be awarded, but higher participation will yield more seats. Every Saturday until January 10th will hold this main tournament, and every Saturday will see at least one lucky winner. In addition to the weekly, one seat minimum tournaments, Full Tilt is also hosting tournaments every other Saturday that will give a minimum of two seats. As with the first tournaments, more participation equals more prizes.

Those players who do not wish to risk the $500+$35 will see satellites into the main tournaments for as low as $.50 or 50 Full Tilt Points.

This promotion is valid until January 10th, though the Main Event of the Aussie Millions will not begin until January 26th. Last year's top prize took home $2 million dollars, having bested a field of 681 players. With most online poker rooms offering seats to this year's tournament, it is expected to hold even more participants. The Main Event will pay the first place winner a guaranteed $2 million dollars, so there will be plenty of money to be had in the prize pool. Though these satellite tournaments will be around for over a month, any player who wants to have the best chances possible at winning should start today, and may do so backed by Full Tilt's 100%, $600 dollar match bonus.
