Event 7 of the 2009 WSOP, the No Limit Hold 'em , has come to a end after 3 long days of play. Out of 2791 players, Travis Johnson is named the new champion and walks away with a prize of $666,853 and the gold bracelet. Johnson showed no mercy towards his opponents and actually took some sizable pots from player Gary Tang and Michael Pesek. His aggressiveness was enough to earn him a spot at the final table where he continued to dominate his opponents. Congratulations to Travis Johnson.

Phil Ivey brought other players and spectators to their feet as they watched him take down opponent John Monnette and take home yet another WSOP gold bracelet. This marks Ivey's 6th WSOP bracelet. Ivey came to this tournament with one thing in mind, to win. He battled back and forth at the final table, coming out on top and winning a cash prize of $96,361 and adding another gold bracelet to his collection.

Ken Aldridge take home a gold bracelet, $428,259 and the title of 2009 WSOP event 9, No-Limit No Hold 'em / 6 handed champion. In the final hours of play,Aldridge went head to head with poker player Carmen Cavella showing chip counts of 5.6 million to 0.9 million at one point. Aldridge seemed to show a little more determination than Cavella in the heads up match. In an effort to end the match, Cavella continued to press his luck and take shots after the pot. Aldridge's aggressiveness shined through upon calling hands at which point Cavella gave up. It only took a few hands for Aldridge to get quite a large chip lead and be crowned the champion. Congratulations to Ken Aldridge.

Event 10, the Pot Limit Hold em /Omaha turned out to be a much longer event than planned. 18 players out of 453 were left standing at the end of day 2. Two tables full of hopeful poker players battled their way to the top in hopes of making it to the final hand. In as little as four hours, 9 of those players would be put out of the tournament leaving the final nine. Among those nine players was Rami Boukai. Boukai was aggressive enough to fight his way through the up and downs which in the end left him as the last man standing. This win earned Boukai a prize of $244,862 and his first WSOP bracelet.

Congratulations are in order for newest winner of event 11 of the 2009 WSOP , the No Limit Hold Em tournament,Anthony Harb.  After a long 3 days and battling through 1645 other players, which include poker names such as Phil Hellmuth, Tom McEvoy and Neil Canning, Harb made his way to the top and took home a cool $569,199 and his first WSOP bracelet. Harb states, " It hasn't even sank in that I've won over half a million dollars, man , its all about the bracelet". Harb showed amazing display of poker skills and his aggressiveness is what earned him the top spot and well deserved bragging rights as the new champion.
