Young Tennis Star Found Deceased after Gambling Scandal

Gambling News - July 8th, 2009 - Written by Glen

montcourtAccording to the Associated Press, Mathieu Montcourt, a 24 year old Tennis pro, was found dead in his apartment building. His short lived life was highlighted by a superb Tennis career, despite some bumps in the road.

Montcourt had recently been temporarily banned and fined for illegaly betting on other Tennis matches. The ban would last five weeks, and the fine was just over $12,000 dollars. Some speculate that his death may have been related to his gambling, but this is purely a supposition and not necessarily fact. While scandalous activities did precede his death, this is no indication that foul play was the cause of death. The method of his untimely expiration has yet to be determined, and an autopsy will be taking place.

Monsieur Moncourt had been found by his girlfriend after he had been late in arriving home. She located him on the stairwell of his apartment, but by the time an ambulance had been called it was too late. Moncourt was already dead, and was found lieing on the floor next to his bike. The effect of his death has rattled the tennis community, and memorial services are to be held before certain matches.

First it was Farrah Fawcett, the actress. Then it was Michael Jackson, the musician. Billy Mays was next in line, a widely known television salesman who could move any product. Now the world has suffered a great loss to the sporting world, Mathieu Montcourt. If foul play turns out to be the cause, then we can only hope that the purpetrators will be brought to justice. Montcourt, you will be missed.
