Software Glitches At Rome Casino

Gambling News - June 23rd, 2009 - Written by Renee

Rome Casino is the show case online casino for the online gaming software developer Top Game. Recently a software glitch was reported on some of the online slot games offered at Rome Casino. The reports first appeared on online casino message boards, following which an official complaint was lodged with the casino.

The problem was that the wild symbols just stopped appearing in the slot games. Top Game’s online slots like Diablo 13, Wild Sevens and Dougies Delights feature wild symbols on reels 1 and 5. These symbols stopped appearing making it impossible for players to hit winning combinations. Based on the players complaints several webmasters checked out the slot games in question and confirmed that the wild symbols were missing. They then alerted the managers of Rome Casino.

Initially it was reported that Rome Casino had pulled out the affected games and remedied the mistake. However the latest reports are that this has not been done. It is not known whether this fault occurred only at Rome Casino or at the other Top Game online casinos that offer these same games.

Casinomeister, a watch dog portal, and the Gambling Portal Webmasters Association are seized of the matter and are seeking answers on the following issues. The first is how and why the fault occurred. The second is how it is being corrected. The final issue relates to compensating the players who placed real money wagers on the defective slot games.

We at USA Players contacted officials ourselves to get further explanation and see if the problem had been resolved. We were contacted back shortly with the whole story. " There was a problem with 2 of the progressive jackpots video slots games," they said, " They fixed the games, and we have decided to compensate all players. I know it doesn’t look so good and it's really doesn’t matter whether it’s the operator fault or the Software's fault but I can say that after this weekend it won't happen again."

Although these software glitches came as a complete shock to everyone, we are happy to say that we looked into the matter and the issues have been resolved, the players refunded, and the public promised that this will never occur again.
