Greenbrier Resort Breaks Ground on New Project

Jim Justice, chairman/owner of the Greenbrier Resort, was ecstatic to see the property's new expansion which will include a new classy casino, retail and fine dinning areas, which are scheduled to open in April of 2010.  Clancy and Theys Construction Company will head the project as the general contractor. Clancy and Theys Construction specializes in the development of commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings and has been acknowledged in several magazines as one of the top 400 construction companies in the United States.

"We are so excited about breaking ground for the new casino. It will be a truly spectacular facility, very elegant and unlike anything anyone has seen before," said Justice.

"Clancy & Theys is extremely excited and privileged to be chosen for this project. An opportunity to be involved with a world class resort with such historical significance does not come around often. When it does, you want to be a part of it," said Vice President Jamie Tollenaere.

This project will span a casino, and retail and dinning areas of approximately 80,000 square feet. The casino is being placed in the front lawn and will include additional amenities such as a pool, pedestrian walkways, benches, and a common leisure area. The inside of the casino will be unlike any other gaming experience guests may of had prior to their visit. Players can enjoy 38 table games such as craps, roulette, blackjack, poker, and a variation of slots games, just to name a few. To give players a little boost of luck, the casino will provide guests with a glass of champagne, at the stroke of 8:00 pm every night.

Guests of this ravish new resort will be able to enjoy some of the new amenities beginning on October 1st. A temporary casino has been constructed in the resorts Virgina Wing, and will allow guests access to a variation of casino games and hours of unlimited fun.
