Pennsylvania Gambling Continues To Thrive

Gambling News - March 7th, 2010 - Written By Glen

gamblingUnfortunately for the Atlantic City gambling scene, Pennsylvania's Gaming Control Board continues to show stellar signs of improvement. With several months of consistent gains on their profits, Pennsylvania's gambling options are being held to the highest of the industries standards.

Both January and February of 2010 have shown gains on gambling revenue, with a sharp increase of revenue generated. A sixteen percent increase was observed in revenue generated in February of '10 over February '09.

The near by competitors of intrastate gambling, most specifically Atlantic City, have been feeling the crushing oblivion forced upon their revenue by Pennsylvania. In December of 2009, Pennsylvania's slot gambling revenue had managed to out perform Atlantic City's.

With the upcoming inclusion of table games, Pennsylvania's gambling revenue has no where to go but up. Huge gains are expected upon the arrival of table games, which should come through before the summer - a hot time for tourism in Pennsylvania.

Though Atlantic City is hanging on by a thread, due to competition from Pennsylvania and New Jersey Online Gambling, the city has been attempting to recover from their deficits. One change recently made was the breath of life breathed into the $2 dollar blackjack tables. Whether or not the City called Atlantic will survive upon Pennsylvania's table games, one thing is for sure - Pennsylvania gambling will continue to be a powerful force in the gambling industry.
