Oscar Do's and Don'ts

Gambling News - February 12th, 2010 - Written By Bonnie

oscarsAs the Academy Awards, better known as Oscars, draw near, the fashion industry goes into full swing as we get ready for one of Hollywood's biggest nights. The awards, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, acknowledges all the hard work that goes into the production of Hollywood films. Not only will all of the stars of the big screen be there to honor themselves, but also all the people behind the scenes that make everything come together in the end. The Oscars are one of the most prestigious awards anyone in the motion picture industry can receive, and whether or not you are a nominee, showing up for one of the biggest parties in Hollywood is a must.

The 82nd Academy Awards will take place on March 6th, 2010, at the Kodak theatre in Hollywood, California and they couldn't have teamed up two of Hollywood's funnier men - actor Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin. These two are sure to give the nominees and guests just what they need to take the edge off while awaiting the big announcements. The spot light will be on and the red carpet will be rolled. The red carpet is the entrance to the event, and the place where the media hovers, to get a photo opportunity with all of the big stars showing up. The good, the bad and the down right ugly can be expected to be seen on the red carpet. The bad and the ugly are two categories performers certainly want to avoid. Wearing the right attire to an event such as the Oscars will give the media something to talk about for many more events to come, and it just so happens that the worst of the worst tend to be remembered.

A majority of the wardrobe mishaps can be prevented right from the get go in picking a dress that is manageable. Often times we come across gowns that look like they had to of been made directly on the person wearing them, and that just cries out for fashion disaster. Dress thrills and celebrity spills all come into play with a night on the red carpet, but lets hope that the celebrities hired the right fashion experts to be in sequence with this season fashions, which will keep the celebrities off of the worst dressed list.

Not only will viewers be watching the fashion do and donts, it can only be expected that at least one celebrity will roll down the red carpet instead of walk, the question is, will it be the same person for both? Online sportsbooks, such as Bookmaker, offers Oscar Betting Odds on who will be voted worst dressed, as well as who will take a spill walking up on stage at the awards. It just doesn't get any better than this, all the things that could go wrong on one of the biggest nights in Hollywood, is captured for our pure online betting enjoyment.
