It came as a surprise not only to President Obama, but to the American people as well, when back in October of 2009 he was awarded the Nobel Peace Price. Take Oprah for instance, her success has put her in a position to give back to millions and millions of people, which is exactly what she does. Oprah is well respected by her friends, family, fans and co-works and is admired by everyone who has ever been touched by her kind words and willingness to give back to people in need.

Another face we can associate with a "good doer", is that of the late Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson, better refereed to as the King of Pop, changed pop music as we know it today. In Michael's early years, he set his sights high and climbed the success ladder as if nothing could stand in his way. America seemed to have a love affair for him right from the very start, which lasted to his final days. His music and kind spirit touched the lives of people all around the world. Although his passing was sudden and unexpected, he still lives on through his friends, his children, and most importantly his legacy. A legacy in which his music will continue to influence young people, and remind adults of the very gift Michael set out to deliver - Hope. Michael is remembered always by those who he left behind and will now and forever be alive through the memories of all the people who were touched by his presence, as well as his music.

Michael and Oprah are just two of the many people who have done their part for the greater good of the world and human nature for that matter. It takes a strong hearted and strong minded person to effect the lives of people around the world and by simply saying they are due a nomination for a Nobel Prize speaks highly of others opinions of their character.
