Grammy nominations are out and we are just weeks away from one of the music industry's biggest nights. On January 31, the place to be for one of the best concerts of the year is the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards Show, which is taking place at The Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. If there is one night to catch all of the super stars in one place, it is at this event. Earning a Grammy is something that every music artist dreams of, and for some a dream that they are still trying to reach. Earning a Grammy means that someone has recognized your talent and outstanding achievements in the music industry.

Familiar names such as Beyonce and country music sweetheart Taylor Swift are names that we will be hearing a lot of this year. Beyonce has earned herself 10 nominations for her success in the past year, with young Taylor Swift right behind her with 8 nominations. While these are two names that have been paired up before, most recently when music's bad boy, Kanye West, over talked Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech at the Video Music Awards. Although Beyonce seemed just as shocked as Taylor, Beyonce showed some professional courtesy in asking Taylor to join her back on the stage later in the show. West certainly stirred up some trouble for himself, setting himself up for much ridicule from every late night talk show as well as the tabloids and the Internet.

Lets hope that some professional courtesy is displayed at this year's Grammy Awards, and that Kanye is not given the microphone for any extended period of time. You really can't help but wonder if anyone, including Kanye, learned from the outburst during the VMAs. Hopefully he learned that it might just be best to not always publicly voice your opinion.
