Las Vegas Sands Dispels Rumors Of Pennsylvania Casino Sale

Casino News - March 8th, 2010 - Written By Glen

casinoA rumor had been circulating that the Las Vegas Sands Corp, one of the leading casino operators, was set to sell their Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem. Last Monday, Las Vegas Sands responded to the rumors.

A report was released last Monday, saying that these rumors are "unfounded." Sands went on to say that the hotel construction that has been planned could move forward over the next several weeks.

The Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem represents a solid investment for the company. In February of 2010, $19.6 million in revenue had been generated through the Casino Resort Bethlehem. Wagering had reached $292 million, while $267 million had been paid out.

The Sands Company, led by Sheldon Adelson, has noted that the eighty table games which the company has applied for will serve only to make this investment more profitable. The Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem is currently one of the top casinos, according to gross terminal revenue from the slots.

Pennsylvania's casinos have been generating record breaking revenue, surpassing even Atlantic City in the generation of revenue. With table games right around the corner, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board will be seeing even higher tax revenue from the casino's Win. When Pennsylvania Online Casinos become regulated, even more tax revenue is expected to trickled into the state.
