World Series Of Poker Circuit Events Augmented

July 24th, 2010 – by Glen Farmer

The World Series of Poker Circuit has never been as popular as the actual WSOP itself, and the administration has realized this. The World Series of Poker Circuit has recently been revamped, giving the upcoming year a much larger series of opportunities.

The WSOP Circuit tour has entered its seventh season, and is set to be much larger than the previous years. The 2010 schedule includes a minimum of 12 stops, with others to be possibly added.

The entire affair has been improved as much as it has been extended. Rankings for the players will be put in place, as well as a season ending National Championship for 100 players who qualified through the accumulation of points toward ranking. Regional Circuit Championships carrying a $10,000 buy in have also been planned. Furthermore, standardized pay-outs and structures have been established for all events. Events have also, in some cases, been reduced in price in order to attract more players, encourage a larger field, and bring more players to the events.

“We recognized the WSOP Circuit Events needed a shot in the arm, and we’ve responded with steroids,” stated WSOP Vice President Ty Stewart.

Starting August 19th, 2010 at the Horseshoe Council Bluffs in Iowa, the 2010-2011 WSOP Circuit Tour will run through May 22nd, 2011.

The World Series of Poker Circuit will go to Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, Biloxi, Lake Tahoe, Atlantic city, Tunica, San Diego, St. Louis, Las Vegas, and finally New Orleans.
