November Nine Solidified, World Series Of Poker Over Until November

July 18th, 2010 – by Glen Farmer

The November Nine – an elite cadre of poker players who managed to stand up against an enormous field of players to fight for the title of the World Champion of No Limit Texas Hold ’em. These nine players have been named for the 2010 World Series of Poker, and in November they will meet to battle it out for the most prestigious award in poker.

A total of 7,319 people came out to the WSOP Main Event this year, and 7,310 have gone home. Some with cash prizes, some with hurt pride, but only one of the remaining will take the bracelet.

A total of 219,570,000 chips are in play. The final players will be battling for all of the chips in question..

Duhamel is a relative new comer to the World Series of Poker, and he has cashed twice this year, both in hold ’em events. His chip lead is dominant, and he holds 65,975,000 chips.

John Dolan of Florida has five cashes in the World Series of Poker, but no bracelets to his name. Having made two final tables before, this self proclaimed professional is in no way going to be easy competition. Dolan holds 46,250,000 chips.

Michael “the Grinder” Mizrachi is perhaps the most recognized name in the November Nine. Mizrachi entered the tournament with several family members, but of the Mizrachi clan he is the only one remaining. Mizrachi has 14,450,000 chips, and may be able to take his second bracelet despite going into the final table in 7th place.

The Final Table of the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event is set to take place in November, and the day has yet to be determined.
