Another Delaware Casino Adds Table Games To The Menu

June 21st, 2010-  By Bryan Cross

In Delaware, Harrington Raceway and Casino was the flag ship for what started the introduction of table games within the state.

Offering blackjack, poker and roulette, the casino has shined throughout the first weeks in bringing in a stream of new revenue.

Now, the state of Delaware has added a second casino that will bring in table games.

Delaware Park will be the newest addition to the tables game scene, adding to what state lawmakers hope will be a money maker for the budget.

Officials in Delaware believe that the addition of the new table games will produce around $40 million annually in tax dollars, which was a driving force behind the campaign to bring in table games at the casinos.

Delaware is continuing the theme amongst the East coast casinos finding ways to step up their Casino revenues by either bringing in table games or in another form.  The competition from neighboring states such as New Jersey and Pennsylvania have forced Delaware to do something new if they hoped to stay competitive in the gaming industry.

Bill Fasy, who is the president of Delaware Park Casino is looking forward to the implementation of table games in his casino, as he refers to it as “going all-in”.

“The market is not that large, but I do believe it strategically helps us to compete with Pennsylvania right now and the opening in Maryland in the fall,” he remarked.

“When we first put slots here, many people thought that would create problems,” he added. “It has not, and I don’t think table games will be any different.”

The introduction of more table games will broaden the gaming industry in the state of Delaware, which should do well for Delaware Online Casinos as well, bringing the gaming industry in the state full-circle.

Love it! The dealers were mostly brand new and stuggled to keep up with the players…I saw many winners and took home 700 myself from the blackjack table.
