Online Sportsbooks Allow Bettors To Voice Their Political Opinion Through Entertainment Betting Lines

May 1st, 2010 – Written By Bonnie

Former Vice President Dick Cheney announced that President Barrack Obama was a term president. When Obama was elected president, he won by 192 electoral votes, more than doubling Sen. McCain’s 173 electoral votes with a total of 365. When you are considering raw percentages, President Obama’s victory over McCain was not as compelling. He only beat McCain in the popular vote by seven points, 53% to 46%, considering this was a year that was meant to be primed for a Democratic president.

Obama will have a much tougher time being re-elected in 2012.

One of the most challenging task for Obama in 2012 is going to be keeping the same enthusiasm for his candidacy as he did in 2008. If he is relying on “Change” or “Yes We Can” he is going to fall very short of his own expectations of being re-elected. There were many hopeful promises that Obama made during his pre-election campaigns that have not been kept. So many Americans who might have voted for Change in 2008, might just be voting for Change in 2012.

The second most challenging task will be to maintain the support of the younger American generation. Support for Democrats among 18-29 year olds has dropped by 8%, while support for the Republicans has increased by 10%. Since 2008, unemployment has dropped into double digits under President Obama’s term. Student’s that have financed their education are now entering into the real world with limited career opportunities and educational debt.
