Tiger Woods Posts Blog On His Website Addressing The Masters, Cursing, and His Future Playing Plans

April 23rd, 2010-  By Bryan Cross

Tiger Woods finished in a tie for fourth place at the 2010 Masters, but described his entire experience at Augusta National as “pretty cool,” as he addressed his game, language and Masters Champion Phil Mickelson on his website.

The 2010 Masters was Woods’ first event back following a five-month self-imposed absence from the game of golf following a series of acts of infidelity on the part of the 14-time Major winner.

He fired a 4-under round of 68 to open the tournament, but finished five shots behind Mickelson.

“I have to say it felt great to return to competition at the Masters Tournament. To actually contend in a major on the back nine Sunday and tie for fourth with very little preparation, with all that has transpired in my life, was pretty cool,” Woods noted on TigerWoods.com.

“It also felt great to be in the hunt again, but unfortunately, I didn’t have my game. I knew I needed to make a run, but I just didn’t have one in me. I had a terrible warm-up session Sunday, and it carried over to the first tee.”

Woods also stated that prior to his arrival, he was very unsure of how he would be received by the patrons of the Masters.  He stated he was very grateful for the reception, and that the fans could not have been nicer.

“I honestly didn’t know what to expect from the fans, but they were absolutely incredible from Monday through Sunday,” Woods remarked by way of his blog. “It was unreal. They definitely helped me mentally to be more comfortable out there. I was hoping for the best. To get that type of warmth is something I did not expect and will never forget.”

At several points during the tournament, Woods was caught on camera cursing at himself for arrant shots, something that he has stressed he is trying to work on.

“I received some criticism for bad language, which I apologized for immediately after Saturday’s round,” Woods remarked on his blog. “It’s tough when you’re in a competitive environment and in the flow of a tournament. I’m not perfect. All I can say is I’m trying to do everything I can without losing my fire and competitive spirit.”

Woods made headlines over the past two weeks following the Masters for his commitments to the U.S Open, Quail Hollow, The Players Championship and the AT&T National.

Quail Hollow begins next Thursday, a tournament that he has won previously.

“The PGA Tour asked me to commit earlier if I could to help the tournaments with their planning and security. I completely understand and know they’re trying to help out me and the other players,” Woods said. “Whenever possible, I will continue to do this going forward.”

Woods is currently installed as the betting favorite to win the 2010 U.S Open at Pebble Beach on USA Online Sportsbooks.  In 2000 when the tournament was held there, Woods won by a record 15 shots.

Tiger Woods lost his fight to keep Elin Nordegren and the children with him and now it is official that Elin will be divorcing him soon. Tiger is now licking the wounds of his defeat, going back to his old life, partying with his enabler buddies and maybe picking a prostitute or two on the road for some relief and consolation. So much for being a changed man and going back to Buddhism! The man is such a despicable hypocrite! It is now very evident that his big act of contrition and repentance was all for show! Tiger is a shameless, pervert adulterer and he does not deserve a wife like Elin Nordegren nor his children. I am glad that Elin and the children are in Sweden, receiving the love and support of family and friends. I wish the best to Elin and her precious children!
