February 4th, 2011 – by Glen Farmer

The European Poker Tour’s next stop is set for Copenhagen, Denmark, and players are still able to qualify for this major stop in the tour. The PokerStars European Poker Tour is running concurrently with several other events around the world, but this is likely to be a major event not only for residents of the Nordic region, but also for those from around the world.

The event will require players to buy in of 37,250 Danish Krones. Converted to US Dollars, this is a buy-in of approximately $6808.39 USD.

In the 2010 version of the European Poker Tour’s Copenhagen event, Anton Wigg of Sweden won the event. Wigg took home 494,000 EUR for his efforts, and ended up winning an additional 20,000 EUR for taking 99th place in the EPT Grand Final.

The series will begin on February 20th at 14:30, While the main event’s first day is on February 21st at Noon.

Qualifiers and satellites are running through PokerStars, the owner of the event. These qualifying tournaments run for as low as a dollar, and will enable players to earn access cheaply, though not easily. Contending with all of the other entrants will not be an easy task, but the prize will be well worth it to he or she who makes it to the big event and manages to win their cut of the prize pool.
