Multi-Entry Tournaments Introduced Through Full Tilt

January 13th, 2011 – by Glen Farmer

Full Tilt is always revolutionizing their online poker room by offering an assortment of new features, and they have one again trumped the industry with a brand new way to play. Full Tilt poker has just introduced their Multi-Entry tournaments, a way to participate in the events multiple times, though not in the way one might expect.

The new Multi-Entry Tournaments are a very simple concept. Players are entitled to buy into the same tournament multiple times, giving players multiple entries into one tournament. For those players who enjoy multi-tabling, this is a way to do so without having to worry about following multiple games.

Each buy-in to the tournament carries its own chip stack, with each stack receiving its own hands. Players can enter multiple times in the beginning of the tournament for multiple stacks, or the additional entries can be used as an extra chance in the event that the first buy-in is a bust.

There are some safeguards in place to prevent self collusion. No player will ever be sat at a table with his or herself. In the event that the player reaches the final table with more than one entry, the chip stacks for each entry are merged.

In order to be as extensive with their choices as possible, Full Tilt has offered the Multi-Entry Tournaments in the form of Rush, Knockout, and Rebuy tournaments.
