PokerStars Introduces Home Games, Exclusive Friends Only Clubs

January 12th, 2011 – by Glen Farmer

The world’s largest online poker room has once again proven that they can stay ahead of the game by adding revolutionary new features to their poker room. While Full Tilt may have cornered the market with their Rush Power addition, PokerStars has fired back with the PokerStars Home Games.

Since many people like to participate on home poker games, or at least games amongst friends, PokerStars has decided to offer their players a way to create a private poker club in which players may invite their friends to play closed, exclusive, private games with one another.

Players simply have to create a name for their club, as well as an invitation code. This will entitle players to create an exclusive poker lobby in which only invited players can enter. Tournaments and cash games can then be created, which will allow only members whom the creator of the club has invited.

Scheduled games can carry a variety of stake and game, all chosen by the administrator of the club. The system will automatically invite club members to the event for the scheduled date.

Statistics, results, a leader board, management tools, and other options have all been incorporated into the home poker clubs.

Free play has currently been announced for these games, but we have not yet determined if real money play can be utilized through these poker clubs.
