Monday Night Football Betting Odds Say Hakeem Nicks Poised For Big Game Against Cowboys
October 25th, 2010-  By Bryan Cross

The New York Giants have won three games in a row, and are on a roll as they enter an important NFC East division match up on Monday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys.

After beginning the season 1-2, the Giants have reeled off wins over Chicago, Houston and Detroit.  They sit alone in first at 4-2 in the division, and would continue to hold that by themselves with a win tonight.

While the offense has made significant strides since the beginning of the season, it has been stout defensive play that has dominated games.  The Giants defense ranks second in the NFL against the pass and seventh against the run, to form arguably the most complete defensive unit in the league.

For the first time since 2004, the Giants swept the Cowboys last season, and look for that theme to continue into this season, beginning with Monday Night.

“It was a fun game last year,” Giants quarterback Eli Manning said of their victory on the road over the Cowboys. “Obviously it was a lot of energy in opening up their new stadium. It came down to the very end and we had to have a two-minute drive. A couple guys stepped up and made big plays for us.”

Manning has thrown for 1,479 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, completing 65 percent of his passes.  Running back Ahmad Bradshaw leads the way on the ground, with 582 yards and three touchdowns.  Leading the way in receiving for New York is Hakeem Nicks, who has hauled in 36 receptions for 417 yards and six touchdowns.

The Cowboys have been set as a three-point favorite in this one on NFL Weekly Betting Odds, despite the records.

Monday Night Football player proposition bets give bettors additional opportunities to wager on the performances of players throughout the game, not necessarily directly relating to the game line or over/under.
