Full Tilt Becomes Next Online Poker Room To Obliterate Bot Players

October 25th, 2010 – by Glen Farmer

In July, it had been discovered that some poker players had been victimized by a ring of players using robots to play the games found at PokerStars. Full Tilt has recently joined the ranks of online poker rooms that have banned a group of accounts for the use of bots behind their accounts.

According to PokerTableRatings, a series of e-mails had been mailed out to an unknown number of players after the completion of an investigation regarding the violation of the Full Tilt’s rules. Each account that had been found in violation of the rule in this particular investigation has not only been banned, but the funds in the accounts have also been confiscated.

No account or player names have been released, nor has the amount of money confiscated.

The bots, which are programs that would play the game instead of the human, are illegal through Full Tilt, indeed nearly every other poker room. Full Tilt has apologized to their players for the inconvenience that has occurred to the misdeeds of the others.

All of the best USA poker rooms have made security one of their highest priorities. Since reputation is everything in the USA online poker industry, security must be maximized in order to attract players.
