Maurice Jones-Drew Headlines Monday Night Football Prop Betting For Jaguars
October 18th, 2010-  By Bryan Cross

The Jacksonville Jaguars come into their Monday Night Football match up with the Tennessee Titans with a 3-2 record and winners of their last two games.

The Jaguars got a win last Sunday over buffalo, but their biggest win of the year so far came in the week prior, defeating Indianapolis on a last-second 59-yard field goal.  That has vaulted them atop the AFC South, with the opportunity to keep pace with the Colts and Houston by getting a win at home against Tennessee.

The Jaguars rank third in the NFL in rushing offense, behind the play of Maurice Jones-Drew.  However, Jones-Drew suffered a wrist injury in the win over the Bills last week, and the team has paid close attention to his status.  Head coach Jack Del Rio said that his running back will be ready to play however.

“It was kind of sore here, there, then all of a sudden it was fine,” Del Rio remarked. “Whatever was going on, he’s pretty quiet usually out there. He’s taken some shots and delivered some shots, and usually you don’t hear a whole lot (from him). He was making some noise, which made me concerned. But he’s fine.”

Jones-Drew has rushed for 406 yards on the season, and one touchdown, with Garrard rushing for close to 100 yards on the season.

Garrard has been spotty this season throwing the ball this season.  He has thrown for 789 yards and nine touchdown this season, as the passing offense ranked 26th in the league.  Wide receiver Mike Thomas leads the receiving unit, hauling in 21 receptions for 258 yards, but has not gotten into the end zone.  Tight end Marcedes Lewis has caught 16 passes for 192 yards and five touchdowns.

Jacksonville enters this game against Tennessee as a three-point underdog at home on USA Online Sportsbooks.  However, bettors have the opportunity to wager on player prop bets from BetUs Sportsbook for lines not directly relating to the outcome of the game.

For example, bet on an over/under for rushing yards to Jones-Drew or the total touchdown passes Garrard will throw.
