Monday Night Football Prop Bets Say Chris Johnson Could Have Big Game Against Jaguars
October 18th, 2010-  By Bryan Cross
The Tennessee Titans sit at 3-2 on the season after a tough road win against the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday.  Now, they open up division play in their first AFC South battle on Monday Night Football against the Jacksonville Jaguars (3-2). In fact, entering week six of the NFL season, each of the four teams in the AFC South sat at 3-2, with Houston and Indianapolis already winning.  That means that the winner of tonight’s match up will remain in a tie atop the division, with the loser falling a game behind, and losing the first tiebreaker of the year.

Quarterback Vince Young and running back Chris Johnson lead this Titan offense.  Young has thrown for 684 yards and six touchdowns on the season.  Johnson comes into this week second in the NFL in rushing yards, with 485 yards and six touchdowns.  He is averaging just over four yards per carry.

Through the air, receiver Nate Washington leads the corps, hauling in 15 receptions for 218 yards and three touchdowns.  Kenny Brit closely follows, grabbing 14 catches for 176 yards and three touchdowns.

Defenses primarily focus on Johnson, and his ability to run the ball after tabbing a 2,000-yard season in 2009.  The running back out of East Carolina is one of the most dynamic players in the game today on either side of the ball, and Jacksonville will have to execute their game plan well to have a chance at stopping No.28.

Tennessee is a three-point favorite on the road according to NFL Weekly Betting Lines, as they are 2-0 so far away from home.

Tennessee sports the fifth-ranked rushing attack in the NFL, and rank 29th in passing output.  The Titans tend to lean heavily on the run behind Johnson, as he will likely get plenty of opportunities against Jacksonville.

Betting lines are also offering several play props in this Monday Night Football match up on both sides of the ball.  These lines give bettors the opportunity to wager on player performances in the game, as opposed to the outcome.  For example, wagering on over/under line for the total number of completion Young will have on the night, or how many yards Johnson will rush for.
