Monday Night Football Prop Bets Say LaDainian Tomlinson Poised For Big Game Against Vikings
October 11th, 2010-  By Bryan Cross

The Minnesota Vikings and New York Jets meet at the New Meadowlands Stadium on Monday Night football in a critical game for both teams.  The Vikings come in making more headlines after acquiring receiver Randy Moss from the New England Patriots last week, meaning that this will be the second time already this season which the Jets will face Moss.

For the Jets, after an opening week loss they have reeled off three-straight wins.  That, has been largely due to play of the offense and quarterback Matt Sanchez.  The second years quarterback has thrown eight touchdowns to zero interceptions through four game, a statistic that has proven to be a difference maker.  Not turning the ball over has allowed for the offense to put up points, and helping out the stout defense by giving them a longer field to defend.

While running back Shonn Greene has not performed as expected, LaDainian Tomlinson has picked up the slack, rushing for 341 yards and three touchdowns, while Greene has rushed for 223 yards and zero touchdowns.

“I know what age I am. It doesn’t mean I can’t play,” Tomlinson said. “I never lost confidence. I always knew I could do it. It was just about having an opportunity.”

Additionally the Jets are expected to debut wide receiver Santonio Holmes, who was serving a four-game suspension for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.  Holmes is expected to come right in and contribute.  The Super Bowl MVP from a couple of years ago when he was a member of the Steelers has the confidence of his head coach.

“I think he’s going to be a huge thing for us,” Rex Ryan said. “He looks like he hasn’t missed a beat. He looked good.”

USA Online Sportsbooks and NFL Betting Odds have set the Jets as a four-point favorite in this Week 5 Monday Night Football Match Up, but bettor are also given the opportunity to wager on prop bets throughout the game.

These bets are various in nature, ranging from rushing yard, passing yards and interceptions which will occur during the game.
