Final Table Underway At European Poker Tour London

October 4th, 2010 – by Glen Farmer

Though 848 people came out to the Main Event at the European Poker Tour London, only eight would be entitled to sit back at the final table. With a £900,000 top prize on the line, each player is diligently working at taking their opposition’s chips.

The Main Event has brought a major power player to the tables, sitting with some lesser known players from around the world. This final table is a mix of players from all over Europe and North America.

Entering the Final Table was eight players, and the top two were both from the United States. Kyle “kwob20” Bowker, 27, and John Juanda, 39, sat at the table with 7,165,000 and 7,075,000 chips respectively. The two American players sat at the table with a sum of chips higher than everyone else at the table.

Kayvan Payman of Vancouver, Artur Wasek of Poland, Per Ummer of Cyprus, Fernando Brito of Brazil, Tom Marchese of the United States, and David Vamplew of Scotland all made it to the final table.

Sponsored by PokerStars, many of the players managed their EPT London buy-in through satellites at one of the largest USA poker rooms online.

The event is set to come to an end on the fifth and final day of play, and a winner will be named.
