Monday Night Football Prop Betting Lines Believe Matt Forte Is In For Big Game
September 27th, 2010-  By Bryan Cross

The Chicago Bears have gotten off to a surprise 2-0 start so far this season as they host NFC North rival Green Bay on Monday Night Football.  At least through two games of the season, the Bears have improved from last season, passing their first couple of tests.  In Green Bay however, they get a chance to upset a team that is favored on USA Online Sportsbooks to win the division title.

Bears quarterback Jay Cutler has not been the turnover-prone quarterback that was last season, at least not yet. Cutler’s problem is that he is sometimes too confident with his arm.  However, last week against Dallas, Cutler took care of the ball and got a big win on the road.  Running back Matt Forte and receiver Johnny Knox have also stepped up and look to start out of the gate with three-straight wins.

Cutler has thrown for 649 yards and five touchdowns to just one interception so far, a season after leading the NFL in interceptions.  Cutler has completed 44 of 64 passes for a high completion percentage and accurate throws.

Forte has not been as effective rushing the ball as he has been a weapon out of the back field catching passes.  Forte has totaled 79 yards rushing on 27 attempts, but has 12 receptions for 188 yards and three touchdowns.

Leading wide receiver Johnny Knox has caught seven balls for 138 yards, but has failed to get into the end zone through two games.

While Cutler is trying to beat the Packers, he and Green Bay quarterback maintain a friendship off of the field.

“It’s nice to watch him have the success he has had the first two games, I think,” Rodgers remarked. “You got to point to, definitely, some growth in him and understanding that system coach (Mike) Martz is trying to run. It’s obviously working very well for him in the first couple weeks. I’m happy for him.”

Oddsmakers have formulated play prop bets for the Bears for the Monday Night contest, in which bettors are able to wager on lines outside of the points spread.
