Facebook Climbing The Social Ladder

September 27th, 2010 – Written By Bonnie

The Internet has somewhat taken over the world as we know it, and it has definitely made life a little more entertaining. It is unbelievable what can be accomplished by using advanced technology that allows Internet users to pretty much do anything online. Bill Gates, known for the development of Microsoft, is one of the richest men in the world. One can only assume that he is of the smartest people. Software development can be time consuming and does not always turn out how developers imagine. Then again, sometimes it does.

Social networking has changed online communicating as we know it. The Internet is a very valuable source for finding information, and social networks are used for the same reason. Facebook is one of the most popular social networks of our time, and developers never dreamed it would turn into what it is today. Facebook was developed by a couple of Harvard students who were looking to develop a software that would let students communicate with each other online. Facebook was meant to be a social system, if you will, for students on the Harvard campus. It quickly came to be the most used social networks of all time.

Facebook users can share their life experience online through photo album, messages, and updates as to where they are in life. A network that was meant for college students has turned into a multi billion dollar company with over 500 million active users. That number continues to grow every second of every day. Online sportsbooks are predicting that Facebook will reach 1 billion members in just a short period of time. Facebook has been around since it was first released to Harvard students in 2004 and has since grown into one of the most successful business of all time, created by 4 young students.

Entertainment betting odds are still offering odds on when Facebook will reach its goal of 1 billion members.
