The Ultimate Fighter Championship's 99th event is coming up on June 13th, 2009. The fights will be held in Germany and is to feature many 12 fights. The main card contains six different brawls, as does the preliminary card. This UFC event will be the first held in the Mainland of Europe. The main card for UFC 99 consists of two heavyweight, two welterweight, a light weight, and a catchweight match. The preliminary card holds three lightweight fights, two welterweight, and a heavyweight battle.

The main card's events feature some of the biggest names in the UFC and should set up for some good UFC 99 betting odds. The main event will be Rich Franklin vs. Wanderlei Silva. Franklin stands three inches taller than his opponent, and both have impressive records. This fight is bound to be explosive. Caol Uno is making a return after nearly six years away from the UFC to fight Spencer Fisher. These boys are roughly similar in size, so the fight will boil down purely to skill. Mostapha Al-Turk will be brawling with Mirko Cro Cop. Mostapha, the former Pharmaceutical rep, outweighs his opponent by over twenty pounds, so his size should give him an advantage. Cheick Kongo will square off against the currently undefeated Cain Velasquez. Kongo stands three inches taller than Cain, but they are of the same weight. It will be an interesting fight to see who comes out on top. Mike "Quick" Swick and Ben "Killa B" Saunders as well as Marcus Davis and Dan Hardy will also be exchanging blows and grapples.

The six, non-broadcasted bouts will surely be good match ups as well but there may not be odds on these UFC 99 match ups. The first of these fights should be Terry Etim and Justin Buchholz. These combatants are roughly the same size, suggesting a fight based entirely on ability. Denis Stojnic will buck heads with Stefan Struve. Struve stands a full foot above the 5'11 Stojnic. He only outweights Stojnic by three pounds, however, suggesting the power-to-weight ratio in Stojnic to be much higher. Regardless, this will be an interesting fight indeed. Undefeated John Hathaway will face off against Rick Story as one of the last preliminary fights. Hathaway is looking to be the favored combatant, but as we know these brawls can go either way and that should be considered when betting on UFC 99 or any other UFC event.
