The 2009 NFL Week 1 preview kicks off with the Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers hosting the Tennessee Titans on September 10th. This Thursday night matchup will be an exciting start to the 2009 NFL season. Can the Steelers repeat as Super Bowl champs? This will be our first look to see if they come out with the passion they displayed that led them to the title a season ago. With many teams acquiring new players, this NFL season Week 1 will be exciting for NFL fans to get to see their new look teams. Atlanta will welcome Pro Bowl TE Tony Gonzalez as a new weapon for up and coming QB Matt Ryan. Will Gonzalez elevate the Falcons offense to one of the NFL's elite? Jacksonville fans hope that WR Torry Holt will give their offense a spark after a very disappointing 2008 season. The post T.O. era begins in Dallas and it will be interesting to see how WR Roy Williams performs as the No. 1 wide out. The Bears fans are excited to see how newly acquired QB Jake Cutler will look when they open Week 1 of the NFL season at Green Bay.

The biggest storyline in Week 1 a year ago was New England Quarterback going down with an injury which kept him out for the season. The Patriots were favorites to win the Super Bowl before their Pro Bowl QB went down. Brady when healthy is widely regarded as the top QB in the NFL. Fans all over are anxious to see how Brady will look in Week 1 of the NFL season when they host the Bills on Monday Night Football. Even though Brady's return is going to dominate Week 1 NFL headlines, the team he is facing welcomes a new face in WR Terrell Owens. T.O. has proven that he is one of the most effective Wide Receivers in the game. He will bring his Pro Bowl talents to the Bills which will set up an exciting Week 1 NFL matchup. The 2009 NFL Week 1 is filled with story lines. With new faces in new places, and with the return of Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady there will be no lack of drama to kick off the season.

Both teams get an early chance at victory in the first game of the season. The Titans and the Steelers finished top ten in all defensive categories, so look for this game to have a low score.
